INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The state of Indiana recently awarded almost $2 million in matching grants for Bartholomew County road and bridge improvements.
“Indiana is in a strong financial position where we can continue investing in essential, local infrastructure projects,” said State Rep. Ryan Lauer (R-Columbus). “This grant program helps us maintain safe and functional roads and bridges in our communities, and live up to our motto as the Crossroads of America.”
Through the Community Crossings Marching Grant program, 218 Hoosier cities, towns, and counties received a combined total of over $100 million. This program was established in 2016 and expanded in 2017. The Indiana Department of Transportation oversees and distributes these grants twice each year.
