According to
Page Six, nearly 1,000 Sunday Service members have partnered to file two class-action lawsuits against the Yeezy founder over a number of issues from late or missed payments, mistreatments, broken labor laws and more.
The lawsuit was originally filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last summer, but details of each allegation are beginning to become public. Per the
UK Sun, the performers and crew had legal rights to overtime wages and should have been classified as employees, not independent contractors. One singer, Michael Pearson, reportedly said in court documents he was paid a flat rate of $250 “regardless of the number of hours worked” and had no meals or restroom breaks and was “forced to stand or sit on the ground” all weekend during one performance.

The Hollywood Reporter, the clothing brand is taking legal action against
Ryan Inwards for allegedly sharing confidential photos on his personal Instagram account. He interned at the company from February 2020 until summer 2020. In a complaint filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the company claimed that they sent Inward multiple cease and deists letters but he continued to publicly post Unauthorized Materials on social media sites.
PEOPLE reported that Yeezy is seeking punitive damages, as well as $500,000 for breach of contract as the company believes Inward acted maliciously. To sign on as an intern, Inward signed an NDA that included a liquidated damages provision for $500,000, which prohibited him from leaking confidential information about the company on social media platforms. In addition to the fine, Yeezy is also seeking an injunction mandating Inwards to turn over photos and be banned from posting anything similar about Yeezy in the future.
