A total of 77 combat clashes occurred on the front over the course of the past day. The Russians launched two missile strikes and 86 airstrikes, firing multiple-launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas 46 times.
Over the past 24 hours, 55 combat encounters have occurred in the combat zone. The aircraft of the Defence Forces of Ukraine has struck 10 areas where manpower of the Russians was concentrated, and missile units launched 3 strikes on Russian ammunition storages.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, has stated in his evening address on 31 January that the situation with energy in Ukraine this winter is better than last year but that there will be more Russian terrorist attacks.
Over the past day, the Russian occupiers attacked on seven fronts, with the greatest activity on the Avdiivka and Marinka fronts. In total, 56 clashes occurred at the contact line during the day, with the Russians inflicting 48 missile strikes, 112 air strikes and 73 multiple-launch rocket system strikes upon Ukrainian troops and settlements.
On the Avdiivka front, Ukrainian forces repelled 13 Russian attacks near the settlements of Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka and Avdiivka, and another 14 attacks in and around Sieverne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk Oblast over the past day.
