Up to 10,000 total doses of coronavirus vaccine could be given Thursday and Friday at the Hammons Student Center on the Missouri State University campus. Dr. Russell Kohl is a colonel in the Missouri National Guard and is also a family physician who is helping to organize the event. He encourages Missourians to get vaccinated during this pivotal time. Colonel Dr. Russell Kohl with the Missouri Air National Guard says health officials will offer the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine to up to 10,000 people during the two-day event. It comes after the U.K. variant of the virus was discovered last month in Greene County. Kohl says you’ll have to park and walk to the event. But he says once you get inside, it should take you no more than an hour to get the shot.
