On April 16, over 75 persons who had registered for vaccination came to the centre. Shortage of vaccine at the Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) on Gandhiji Road in Erode Corporation limits has forced officials to issue a token to people above 45 years of age who came for vaccination and send them back on Friday morning.
VADODARA: The Covid-19 vaccination drive gained momentum in the city with 2,643 persons being inoculated on a single day against a target of 2,500 on Thursday. Another 2,400 persons are scheduled to get vaccinated on Friday.
The drive was scheduled at 25 session sites including private and government hospitals and a municipal school. With 2,653 persons taking jabs, the percentage of vaccination against target on Thursday stood at 106%.
The highest vaccination took place at the Uma Kalpana Hospital in Raopura where 185 persons took the jab against a target of 100, followed by Yogini Vasantidevi Hospital where 152 persons were vaccinated.
The Maneja Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) and the Rushi Vishwamitra Primary School in Ramdevnagar were the locations where lowest vaccinations took place. Forty-four persons were vaccinated at Maneja UPHC while 42 were vaccinated at the school.
