Virginia Anne (Scott) (Gin, Ginny) Hoeschen, 85, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 after a long struggle with dementia. She was born on October 7, 1938 in Rochester, MN and grew up in Chatfield, MN. Gin is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard Hoeschen¸ son Timothy Hoeschen, daughter Heidi (Keith) Jackson, granddaughters Elizabeth Jackson and Eleanor Jackson, brother Donald (Rosanne Licciardi) Scott, sister Rosemary Scott, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Elizabeth Scott, and brother Robert Scott. Gin graduated from UW Stout in 1961 with a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics. She began working as a Home Economist with Northern States Power and eventually worked for Pillsbury and General Mills. She inherited her skill and love for cooking and baking from her mother.
