Jim Baird, general manager for the Roseburg Urban Sanitary Authority, was appointed as the Water Environment Federation representative to the Water Professionals International Board of Directors in September.
Roseburg City Council voted unanimously and enthusiastically Monday to approve going forward with the purchase of a half-acre tract of land which would allow expansion of historic Brown Park.
