As of this year, Habitat for Humanity of Craven County will have built 80 homes for residents in need, which they couldn’t have done without the help of volunteers.
Construction is underway on three Craven County Habitat for Humanity homes in the Pembroke community, with one family close to a move-in date and two others excited to watch the foundations go down and the walls go up. One group from MCAS Cherry Point and another from Maryland are helping with that effort this week.
After announcing his retirement earlier this year, Mike Williams of New Bern said goodbye as Habit for Humanity of Craven County s executive director at the end of June. On Wednesday, his replacement was announced.
