I m not going to worry how chris thought he was doing what was best. i lost my election because of my campaign. mitt romney his first post election interview saying new jersey governor chris christie did not cost him the white house. joining me now two former members of his campaign, ryan williams and former congress woman who of course was a campaign surrogate. great to be here. i will start with you. you work with governor romney off and on for the past decade or so. it seemed like governor romney was very much coming to terms with his loss but that his wife might be having a harder time. on a personal level how have he and ann been coping with the loss? losing a major race like the
The table. shame on the president and shame on the state department. can we expect mitt romney to be aggressive about the benghazi it attack and ask about the video? i don t know what he s going to ask him but i will say he was kind of shocked when the president lied about having referred to the attack at a real terrorist attack in the rose garden speech. that s what threw governor romney off. he couldn t believe the president was so ballet dishonor. honest. nor north arch african foreign policy is disastrous. the two principle responsibilities the president has, foreign policy and national security on one hand and on the other hand, jobs and economic viability.
As for second debate, independents expect governor romney to be a biginner, 42% to 31 pearls. a.b., what do you think? romney did a terrific job on october 3rd. i don t think he s going to implode. i think the onus is on president obama to change the perception and the narrative from his failure that night. i think that s a lot of pressure. i think probable is president bush is president obama is expected to be aggressive, to throw romney off. what he really needs to do is what romney does, is to enthusiastically sell himself. if you can get a few jobs in, great, but in that setting he needs to look like he wants the job. all the angst has shifted to the other side.
Obama to change the perception and the narrative from his failure that night. i think that s a lot of pressure. i think probable i president bus expected to be aggressive, to throw romney off. what he really needs to do is what romney does, is to enthusiastically sell himself. if you can get a few jobs in, great, but in that setting he needs to look like he wants the job. all the angst has shifted to the other side. you don t want to be judged only the front end as the person likely to been. if you don t win the championship that night, you re judged to be a failure. president obama has to have a big night. his aides have telegraphed he ll be more aggressive, showing he wants it a lot more than the first debate. that s difficult with this format. they won t be addressing each other, addressing questions posed by the michael jordan mod. you don t want to be belittling
Nothing for conservatives to complain about. but it wasn t the sort of knockout that they wanted. in fact, if joe biden hadn t been there acting a little crazy, paul ryan s delivery would have been a little flat. he only looked poised because joe biden was so animated. yes. i think biden to me, the main takeaway from biden s performance was he stopped the bleeding. no small accomplishment there. obama came in the first debate, four points up with everybody ready to write romney off. in the last week we ve had democratic panic and despair. you can see from the reaction of many people, the performance that biden gave last night, it showed democrats around the country, yes, there s something on the ticket who s still willing to fight for this thing. it gave them the hope that the obama thing will be an aberration. we ll see a different obama. that s fine. can this ever be something that s transcended? bringing undecided voters into the obama fold, maybe switching
