ROCKFORD June Stanford, an accountant who was appointed to the Rockford School Board in July 2019, is facing two challengers in her first bid to retain her seat.
Stanford s opponents in the upcoming election are attorney Roger Smith and life coach and small business owner Ashley Williams.
The three candidates are seeking votes in subdistrict G, a geographic area on the city’s south and far south side that extends from Broadway to the north, Meridian Road to the west, Mulford Road to the east and Edson Road to the south.
Schools within subdistrict G are Flinn, Froberg, Jefferson, Riverdahl and Whitehead.
