that he sees as destructive. so i really wanted to know, you know, where did this come from, and were a lot of the views that he s been expressing recently views that he s had all along? you know, sort of what drove him and what was his vision of the kind of social impact that he was going to have? plus, nobody had done it. i mean, he was rare in a figure of his significance and prominence in that nobody had written a serious in-depth biography. so i decided i wanted to do it. and then i discovered why nobody had written [laughter] an in-depth biography. i had, i had met him a few times, i didn t know him well, but sort of, to sort of greet him when he appeared on the television networks that i work for. but i did know alvin [inaudible] who is a harvard psychiatrist who was an adviser on the cosby show and is a good friend of bill and camille cosby s. so i called him, and i made my pitch for why i thought bill cosby would be great subject for a book. and he agreed with
she got sick again. when i went to visit her, she looked beautiful that day. her head was shaved. she could not move but she had me put post-its on every piece of furniture in the house and where they would go. she was part of the decision of what happened to her all the way through. you are robbed of being able to be part of what they do and when it s time to say enough is enough. and if you are not offended by that, it is time that we all got offended together, but i stood by her. cancer didn t run in my family. we need people who are not touched personally. if people sitting next to you a neighbor or you have someone that you feel so badly for, be their advocate. the care gave is the advocate on the front lines at the doctor s office in the hospital, with the health insurers. we re wearing out. we need our kids. to be angry for us. if you look ahead, you see they say their future. we are robbing them of their future. so that to me is a huge issue. join with us. i mean, i
[inaudible] said thank you for coming out here today. my name is sean a butler. i am an advisor focused on health care, viewership and economic developme. ani i m really thrilled to have sha with us today. today. .. her work focused on what she decided to do was go to afghanistan because consistently afghanistan has been named the worst place in the world to be a woman. in her 19 trips there, she has been focused on building capacity around maternal, around the midwife programs that look at maternal and fetal wellan being, andd she s also beeno working on reading programs for, that are focused on thems daughters of the women who have beenha imprisoned, specifically around their charge of adultery. and her most recent adventure, she s also done art projects and a lot of other things, but she s been using the buick as a social justice the bike as a social justice tool. actively working e afghan national women s cycling team in producing a documentary on all of that called
