State Guard (TXSG) service member Mary Jane Moore recently completed a round of rigorous training and coursework in the TXSG Officer Candidate School (OCS). This training is designed to transform civilian professionals into strong, effective military leaders.
OCS is physically and mentally challenging. Those who successfully complete the program are expected to rise through the ranks of commissioned officers, making critical decisions and leading TXSG missions in response to emergencies and disasters statewide.
Moore is a 2nd Lieutenant in the 2nd Brigade, TXSG, and a resident of Columbus. She is the owner at Magnolia Jane Landscape and Horticulture Services.
