The University of Arizona announced the creation of a new mobile crisis team with the goal of deescalating tense situations and providing mental health services, an expanded keyless building entry program and campuswide safety exercises during President Robert C. Robbins virtual University Safety Briefing on Friday.
The Pima Joint Technical Education District broke ground on the Mel and Enid Zuckerman Center for Health and Medical Careers May 4. The facility, which is expected to open next year, will provide local high school students with access to a life changing experience in health, medical and veterinary science careers. The site is located within UArizona Tech Park at The Bridges.
