Voters approve all tax levies on ballot in Tuscarawas County
NEW PHILADELPHIA All tax issues on the May primary ballot in Tuscarawas County were approved by voters on Tuesday, including a 1% income tax increase in Midvale and a 2.5-mill additional levy for fire protection and EMS in Franklin Township, according to unofficial totals from the Tuscarawas County Board of Elections.
Results include:
• 4-mill renewal levy for police and fire in Dover 684 for the levy, 190 against the levy;
• 2.8-mill renewal levy for current expenses in Uhrichsville 105 in favor, 51 against;
• 1% income tax increase in Midvale 27 in favor, 18 against;
• 1.6-mill renewal levy for general operating expenses in Parral 18 in favor, 0 against;
