reporter: authorities in florida said murder charges don t apply because champion suffered too many blunt force traumas for the medical examiner to know for sure which one was fatal. champion died in november after running through what the band calls crossing bus c. a ritual in which someone walks from the front to the back of the band s bus while getting pummeled by bandmates. a month later, champion s parents told abc they worried about the school s culture. i prayed that no other kid, no other parent would have to go through what we went through. reporter: prosecutors say they are also charging 20 other people with misdemeanor hazing in unrelated cases. that prosecutor, lawson lamar, said he s not naming the 13 who have been charged because they still haven t been arrested, and he s concerned they might flee. rob and sunny? good to see the justice is moving on that. i never understood the whole hazing thing. why people subject themselves to that. to belong to some group.
