Legal & General Insurance (LGI) has appointed Jeff Woods as head of intermediary development.
He will join the insurer on 26 April 2021, reporting to Craig Brown, LGI’s director of intermediary, and replacing incumbent Richard Kateley who is retiring after 33 years.
Woods has over three decades of experience and has held a variety of roles including as a mortgage broker, financial planner, as well as sales and business development director positions across life and service providers, networks, advisory firms, and corporate estate agency.
As head of intermediary development Woods will lead Legal & General’s market development team to deliver the insurer’s intermediary proposition while supporting the growth of the protection market overall, helping advisers to develop their knowledge and business models while giving them the tools to highlight the risks to their corporate clients.

Sesame Bankhall Group’s campaigns and proposition director Jeff Woods is set to join Legal & General Insurance as head of intermediary development.
Woods starts the new role on April 26, replacing Richard Kateley who is retiring after 33 years.
He will report to director of intermediary Craig Brown.
Woods has worked in the industry for more than three decades, as a mortgage broker, financial planner and in sales and business development director positions across life companies, networks, adviser firms and estate agencies.
At L&G, Woods is tasked with developing the insurer’s intermediary proposition and supporting the growth of the wider protection market.

Life insurance provider Legal and General Insurance has appointed Jeff Woods (pictured) as its new head of intermediary development to replace Richard Kateley, who is retiring after 33 years.
Woods, a former financial planner, who was most recently business development director at Sesame Bankhall Group, will take up the role on 26 April.
He will report to LGI’s director of intermediary Craig Brown and will be responsible for the insurer’s intermediary proposition and supporting the growth of the protection market.
Woods has also previously worked as a mortgage broker and has held sales and business development director positions across life and service providers, networks, advisory firms, and corporate estate agency.
