Days after reports a convicted prostitute was volunteering and serving on committees at Godley Independent School District in Texas, officials blamed in part "not always perfect" Department of Public Safety background checks.
Godley ISD is explaining to parents how a convicted prostitute, actively advertising as an escort, became a committee member and parent volunteer in the district.
