Cleveland, OH – Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh announced today that Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Kelly McLaughlin sentenced Ricardo Marshall to 15 years to life in prison for the murder of 40-year-old Kathy Landino.
Prior to sentencing, Marshall pled guilty to the following charge one count of murder – a Special Felony
On November 21, 2019, Akron Police Officers responded to a home on Chittenden Street after Ricardo Marshall called 9-1-1 stating that he found his live-in girlfriend Kathy Landino not breathing. Marshall later admitted to killing Landino. Investigators determined Marshall beat and strangled Landino and waited 12 hours before contacting police. Marshall’s four children were at the home at the time of the murder.

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - An Akron man pleaded guilty Tuesday to killing his live-in girlfriend in November 2019.

Marshall called 911 around 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 21, 2019 and said he found Landino not breathing.
When officers and EMS arrived at the home in the 600 block of Chittenden Street, Landino was found on the first floor and pronounced dead at the scene.

The National Conservation Commission (NCC) has reminded beach vendors to observe all COVID-19 protocols as they recommence their operations.
NCC Special Projects Officer, Ricardo Marshall, encouraged licensed vendors to implement safety precautionary measures to secure the health and protection of clients, beach visitors, in general, and themselves.
To this end, as part of their return to work, all beach vendors, whether they operate a food and beverage operation or provide beach chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, surfboards and similar services to beach-users, are expected to strictly observe the following protocols:
• Wash and/or sanitise hands frequently.
• Wash, rinse and sanitise food contact surfaces, food preparation surfaces and beverage equipment after use (using a food-grade sanitiser).
