CENTRAL FALLS – Local and state police are investigating after human skeletal remains were found at a Sheridan Street construction site earlier this week.
The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) has identified Rui Resendes, 56, of East Providence as the decedent in an incident that took place in Newport on July 13.

Glocester man arrested after fatal crash
GLOCESTER – Travis Beaulieu, of Glocester, pictured, has been arrested for a motor vehicle crash that killed one Connecticut woman and her dog on Sunday, Feb. 21.
At approximately 7:12 p.m. on Sunday, members of the Glocester Police Department, along with members of the Chepachet and West Glocester Fire Departments, responded to a serious motor vehicle accident with entrapment, according to a press release from the Glocester Police Department. The accident was located in the area of 2953 Putnam Pike, just east of the Connecticut state line.
Beaulieu, 25, of 5 Oil Mill Lane in Glocester, was driving a 2006 Ford F-350 pick-up truck eastbound at a speed in excess of the 50 mph posted speed, according to a preliminary investigation. The investigation showed that Beaulieu travelled left of center into the westbound travel lane to pass a line of vehicles that were traveling eastbound, and his vehicle collided head-on with a 2013 V
