Thank you so much. I publish books all the time, every year, and i go out on the road and every once in a while somebody says, congratulations, and im wondering, for what . Its like going to war when you publish a book. No, its like giving birth, here it is. It was long awaited. No, no, the thing about this book that i thought was especially great was it took me back, truly took me back to the mid and early 90s, you know. This is a novel based on real events. Its based on the experience of biosphere, biosphere 2 in arizona in the early 90s. You have really drawn a picture that is similar to, but, in so many ways, different from the real thing. Well, thank you. When the biosphere 2 experiment first happened in 91 through 93 northeast of tucson, i was fascinated by this. Like most of the public, i clip ....

I walk to work to the red rooster and its really, the community that has embraced us so much. So i felt like opening red rooster was really an opportunity to start a new conversation. Right. Are you going to run for president . I think i just got an f from you, actually. applause diane guerrero, welcome. Thank you for having me. So nice to meet you. The book is amazing and maybe the most amazing thing about it is the bravery that had to have gone into the decision to write it. You could have gone along in your very successful career as an actress and never written this book, never told this story, probably not subjected yourself to what, im sure, youve been subjected to in writing it. Yes, its so, why do it . Well, first, you give me way too much credit. As somebody who is brave . Well, okay. I think brave and successful you have to live on twitter after this book comes out, so thats up to you. Thats right, thats right. I mean, look. I saw a need for this story to come out and i so desperately wanted to be part of that movement and join the fight. I was inspired by dreamers going out there and putting themselves at risk, demanding for immigrant rights. I knew i had such a ....

This is overheard. applauding katharine hayhoe, welcome. Thank you for having me. Nice to have you here. So i thought we would do a baseline for this conversation. Alright. So, establish a baseline. Global warming is real . Yes. Climate change is real . That too. Climate science is legitimate . Yes and its very old. So whats everybodys glitch . Why is this even a thing . Why are we even arguing about this . This is the big debate. It is. [evan] yeah. The number one reason were arguing is because people dont like what they perceive to be the solutions and its easier to say it isnt a real problem than to say it is a real problem, but i dont want to fix it. So is the problem a problem of ideology . Is the problem a problem of faith at odds with some of this stuff, science, and whathaveyou . Is the problem a problem of economics at odds with this or is it some combination of those things . The smokescreens that we see when it comes to Cli ....
