MARQUETTE The Marquette County Commission on Aging will use an $11,550 state grant to help renovate office space. The commission applied to the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging for partial funding of renovation at the new Spring Street Annex. The commission office in Negaunee has been working out of a basement for 10 years and is only accessible to senior clients by an elevator. “We are pleased we will be located in offices at the street level, near the bus stop and senior high-rises,” said commission Director Lynn Emerick.
