up. joining me now is ann rimoin, professor of epidemiology at the ucla fielding school of public health. thanks so much for joining us here. so i know there have been small surges of cases here in the u.s., a rise of hospitalizations over the summer, but covid, you know, i have to say, is pretty low on most people s list of concerns these days. so how concerned are you about what you re seeing right now? i think what we re seeing is something that we expect to see in the fall. you know, we see changing patterns of people going back to school, people getting being indoors in close proximity to each other. and that is usually what kicks off respiratory virus season. and that s where we are right now. we have covid, we have rsv, and we also will have influenza coming. so i think it s not surprising that we re starting to see an uptick in respiratorypa e patho,
