Florida voters love casting votes by mail. But after the 2022 midterm elections, all mail ballot requests were voided and people who want to vote that way will have to apply over again.
Michael Barnett, who had the support of former President Donald Trump and U.S. Sen. Tom Powers will lead the Broward Republican Party through the 2024 presidential election as party chairman, after members rejected an attempt by an unsuccessful former state legislative candidate to oust him. He declined to answer the most agonizing question facing many Florida Republicans: Would he prefer former President Donald Trump or Gov. Ron DeSantis as the party’s nominee for president in 2024.
