Rusty Young Dies Of Heart Attack At 75
Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist 
 and one of the most influential steel guitar players in rock history, died of a heart attack at his home in Davisville, Missouri on April 14, 2021. He was 75 years old.
Norman Russell ‘Rusty’ Young was born February 23rd, 1946 in Long Beach, California and raised in Denver, Colorado, where he began playing lap steel as a boy and performed in local country and psychedelic rock bands throughout his teens. In 1967, Rusty was invited to Los Angeles by Richie Furay to play steel on Buffalo Springfield’s third and final album 
Last Time Around, and Young, Furay, George Grantham and Jim Messina formed Poco soon after. ....

Jersey City Theater Center s 2021 New Play Festival To Take Place Online
(JERSEY CITY, NJ) The Jersey City Theater Center’s 2021 New Play Festival, part of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance’s 2021 Stages Festival, will present ten new plays about healing from the US, Canada and New Zealand on four consecutive Thursdays, from May 6 to May 27.  All shows are at 7:30pm.  The plays eight short plays and two full-length works will be presented on Zoom, followed by a live Q&A with the projects’ respective artistic teams. The full-length plays are: “Moon Drops” by Carol Campbell, Domnica Radulescu, and Nikaury Rodriguez on May 13; and “Love in the Time of Mass Incarceration” by Boris Franklin and Tequia Gladden on May 27. ....

SOPAC Presents Capturing The Moment - A Showcase of New Jersey Choreographer Fellows April 30-May 1
(SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) presents Capturing the Moment - a virtual two-part showcase of seven dance choreographers who have received the highest honor from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts – a Choreography Fellowship - on Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1st at 7:30pm each night.  The event is presented by New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
 Each evening’s program will include performances as well as interviews with the choreographers by dance critic and a journalist Robert Johnson. ....
