The Rockhampton outfit went down 1-nil to Queensland National Premier League team, Magpies Crusaders United, in an overtime thriller at Ryan Park.
The visitors scored the winning goal in the first half of extra time after the teams could not be separated after 90 minutes of regulation time.
Frenchville coach Mat Wust said he could not have been prouder of his teamâs performance.
âI think we gave them one hell of a scare,â he declared. âWe probably even surprised ourselves with how well we went.

Frenchville are continuing their FFA Cup march, taking down Across the Waves in a see-sawing preliminary round clash on Saturday.
Hard-working midfielder Jackson Lems scored in the 95th minute to seal the dramatic 4-3 victory in Bundaberg.
The result means they now host Queensland National Premier League team, Magpies Crusaders, on Saturday in the next stage of the national competition.
Frenchville coach Mat Wust said it was fantastic for the team, and it would be great for them to have the home ground advantage for this weekendâs classic showdown.
âItâs going to be massive,â he said.
