california that are swing districts that the democrats are trying to pick up or republicans are trying to maintain. what does president trump mean for those districts? i ll tell you. he s been a problem. there s this little dance that has been done by people in the 48th. it s got a ten-point republican registration edge. he s neck and neck with a republican turn democrat named harley and he tries to encourage the president because he needs help from his base. at the same time he admits that president trump isn t helping him with a lot of those suburban republican women. they talk about the president but never mention his name. i just got this e-mail today. this was really astonishing. it s from the orange county republican party. remember this is the home to richard nixon s library. the place where republicans go to die according to ronald reagan. it s an alert seeking volunteers to help with phone banks.
