This week and the governor is trying to make the most of it. lawmakers are voting on a new congressional map, one drawn by governor ron desantis. it is very generous to republicans. very generous to say the least. and the lawmakers today are discussing steps to possibly punish disney. that after the company took issues with florida s so-called don t say gay law. live right there in tallahassee, diane, what is happening today? reporter: john, just in the past couple of minutes here the florida state senate did pass that bill that would eliminate what s called the redding creek improvement district, the se self-governing special district set up for disney. this was a bill only added to the special session docket yesterday. many of the members, even the ranking member didn t even know about it until it was announced. democrats view this as
