The Calcutta High Court cancelled the 2016 recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff to West Bengal government-sponsored and aided schools on Monday. The court also directed the State Service Commission to conduct fresh recruitment. Nearly 24,000 jobs got cancelled.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced on Monday that the state government intends to challenge the High Court s ruling that invalidated the selection process of the State Level Selection Test-2016 (SLST), resulting in the cancellation of approximately 24,000 jobs in government-sponsored and aided schools.
