Robert S. Golembeski
NEW MILFORD – Robert S. Golembeski, 69, of New Milford, passed away peacefully on Feb. 24, 2021. He was the loving husband of Muriel (Johnson) Golembeski.
Robert was born in New Milford on June 14, 1951, the son of the late Stanley and Anna (Docktor) Golembeski. A lifelong resident of New Milford, Robert graduated from New Milford High School in 1969. He was married on June 12, 1982, and worked for Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Yankee Gas. In recent years, Robert also worked closely with his son, David, as a groundskeeper at Pomperaug Golf Club.
Robert was a 48-year volunteer firefighter with the Water Witch Hose Company No. 2 of New Milford. He served in numerous positions and established many lasting friendships through his years of service at the firehouse. He also spent many years as a volunteer EMT with the New Milford Ambulance, and served as chief in 1990.
