Louisiana’s current Poet Laureate, Mona Lisa Saloy, will visit Northwestern State University on Wednesday March 9. Dr. Saloy will present a selection of her poetry at a reading to be held at 7 PM in the Varnado Hall Ballroom located in Varnado Hall at 541 University Parkway in Natchitoches. Saloy will be introduced by members of the NSU Creative Writing faculty, Dr. Andy Briseño and Dr. Rebecca Macijeski. Drs. Briseño and Macijeski will also act as moderators for the Q&A following the reading. The reading will be free and open to all with the public encouraged to attend either in person or virtually on Microsoft Teams. The Teams address to use is www.nsula.edu/LFCEvent.
