look. reporter: the cdc is posting guidance on its website for doctors to be alert to unusual heart symptoms, called myocarditis, among young people who just received their covid shots. myocarditis is an inflammation of the muscle of the heart and can can produce a range of symptoms, anything from an asymptomatic inflammation up through developing fatigue, chest pain and even potentially abnormal heart rhythms. reporter: the symptoms seem to appear in teenagers and young adults about four days after their second dose of the moderna or pfizer vaccines. 13-year-old lorraine curtis of san jose received her first covid shot today and just learned about the finding. it s definitely concerning, but i feel a little safer knowing it s a small c of people. melissa angerville is even more hesitant about here child getting the vaccine in the future. scary, not knowing how their body also adjust to it. reporter: there are a few cases of myocarditis reported after the shot t
