Covid-19 Regional Report Monday
Tuolumne County The Health Officer order for febrile respiratory illness (FRI) screening has been updated to reflect updates for fully vaccinated individuals. The updated order can be viewed here. Public Health officials say “Employee screening and staying home from work or school when sick remains an important part of reducing the spread of COVID-19 in our community.” Updated Face Covering Guidance was issued today and can be viewed here.

Tuolumne County Tuolumne Public Health reports one new case today, a man age 40 to 49. No COVID-positive residents are hospitalized and one was released from isolation. A total of 11 cases are considered active.
Tuolumne County has a total of 4,105 cases split between 2,688 community cases and 1,417 Sierra Conservation Center (SCC) inmate cases, including the one active inmate case. Total community cases released from isolation are 2,613 and the total number of tests administered is 90,995. The county report lists 37,402 vaccine doses administered in Tuolumne.

Tuolumne County Tuolumne Public Health reports two new cases today. The new cases are a boy age 17 or younger and a woman age 60 to 69. One COVID positive resident is hospitalized and one was released from isolation. A total of 18 cases are considered active. Tuolumne revised its count of reported deaths due to COVID-19 stating, “Upon investigation, we have learned that a previously reported death of a male in his 50s from January is not a COVID-related death.”

Tuolumne County Tuolumne Public Health reports the death reported as under investigation last week has been confirmed as COVID-related, it is the 65th death due to the illness in the county since the pandemic began last year. They further detail it was a woman in her 60s with underlying health conditions. The Public Health report notes five new cases since Friday, three new community cases and one Sierra Conservation Center case today plus one community case from Saturday. The new cases are a girl age 17 or under, a man age 30 to 39, a woman age 50 to 59, and a man age 60 to 69. One COVID positive resident is hospitalized. A total of 29 cases are considered active.
