Conundrum Press launches new YA graphic novel imprint
Conundrum Press has launched Emanata, a new young adult graphic novel imprint driven by social equity that will publish work created by comic artists living in Canada.
Sarah Sawler, a
Quill & Quire contributor, will take on the role of Emanata’s YA acquisitions editor in addition to their current role as Conundrum Press’s marketing manager. Sawler is looking for projects aimed at youth aged 12-18 that feature characters in the same age range.

Local students are celebrating Canadian literature this week as they participate in a nation-wide challenge to Read Canadian.

I Read Canadian Day is an annual celebration of the rich and diverse literature that has been written by Canadian authors. On Wednesday, February 17th, hundreds of classrooms, and thousands of Lakehead Public Schools students connected virtually with community members who shared their personal love of reading and read a story written by a Canadian author to the students board wide. Throughout the day, students continued to read together and followed up with several fun and engaging activities to share their love of reading.
