Sankey photography project offers free online oral history training with historian Simon Bradley 12/11/2020 APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN for SIGNAL FILM AND MEDIA’s exciting new training course as part of SEEING THE NORTH WITH SANKEY project. The free Oral History Training Course with Simon Bradley from the Oral History Society starts this November 24th with 3 further sessions running through to January 2020. Participants will learn about interviewing techniques, why we record oral histories and how oral histories can be used in this COVID-19 age, alongside photographs in the Sankey Family Photographic Collection with the aim to create fantastic, short, sound pieces that will sit alongside the photographs in future exhibitions and the final collection! The course will take place over Zoom on 4 different dates over the winter and be geared towards ‘place-based’ oral history, responding to images found across the Sankey Photography Collection.
