RAUCHTOWN – Volunteer firefighters from Lycoming and Clinton counties were battling a house fire on Rauchtown Road (Route 880) that was reported about 11 a.m. Thursday morning. It was initially reported that someone was possibly trapped in the burning home, but Nippenose Valley Fire Chief Dean Miller, in charge at the scene, radioed to a dispatcher that everyone was out. Miller reported a fire on the second floor of the home, just north of Pine Mountain Road in Clinton County’s Crawford Township. In addition to firefighters from Nippenose Valley, crews from Antes Fort, Jersey Shore and units from Clinton County were dispatched to the scene.
