Protests that began last week over the imprisonment ofjacob zuma, the former south african president, have now devolved into widespread looting and arson. The chaos has spread tojohannesburg. Over 70 people have died, hundreds have been arrested. Today, the king of the zulu nation, the largest ethnic group, said the chaos was destroying south africa s economy. One of the worst hit cities is durban, from where our south africa correspondent nomsa maseko reports.
