View Comments In a video that s been viewed more than 5,000 times on the city of Milton s Facebook page, City Manager Randy Jorgenson can be seen drinking an entire glass of treated effluent taken right from the city s wastewater treatment plant and proclaiming it clean enough to drink. The video, which was Jorgenson s idea, is an attempt to quell any fears people may have about the site of the new wastewater treatment plant near the Blackwater River. “We’re in the process of trying to identify a location for the Rapid Infiltration Basin System (RIBS), and we’ve potentially found one that’s on county land in close proximity to our plant,” Jorgenson said. RIBS is a system where treated effluent is sprayed onto a field and seeps into the ground, unlike the current plant’s system, which sprays the treated effluent directly into the Blackwater. ....
