Commissioners in the town have urged people to park ‘considerately’ to help boost trade. They say spaces used by business owners or residents, especially those within disc zones, could deter potential customers. Parking in the town is free all year round and the local authority says retailers have been very busy during the festive period. Andy Cowie, Chairman of Ramsey Town Commissioners, commented: ’It has been great to see that our independent retailers, businesses, cafes and restaurants have been so busy during the Christmas shopping season. The only downside from this is the impact on available parking spaces.’

Ramsey Santa run tomorrow

Ramsey Santa run tomorrow The 2.5km event will take place in Mooragh Park at 11am tomorrow. Money raised from the event will go to the Isle of Man Food Bank. Entry is £5 per person and is open to those aged 16 years or over.
