Officials from the Ahmednagar district police said that the incident took place during a procession taken out in Shevgaon town around 9 pm Sunday to mark the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
The district police have arrested 10 people till now and detained some others for questioning. They said the clashes occurred in the Warulwadi area of the district located on Ahmednagar-Sambhajinagar Road.
Around six to seven people from both groups were injured in the violence, said police. An FIR has been registered in connection with the clash and an investigation is on, according to the police, India News, Times Now
