Child abduction suspect stoned, beaten by angry mob

Police had to fire teargas to disperse a crowd early on Tuesday as an ambulance struggled to reach a man who had been beaten and stoned after being accused of abducting a five-year-old girl.The child, who was found unharmed with the man, had been reported missing by her family at the Mthatha Central police station on Monday morning.
