Maui-based nonprofit Oni Foundation Inc. opens its new Wonderful World of Aloha 4,000-square-foot multicultural dance and activities center at the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center in Kahului. The dance and activities center opens May 1, 2024, offering cultural dance and hands-on learning experiences for kamaʻāina and visitors.
The Central Maui Transit Hub is expected to open this month, according to Department of Transportation Director Marc Takamori. The opening will end Maui Bus traffic within the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center.
Queen Kaʻahumanu Center has released a lineup of events for the month of October, including a chance to donate clothing for Lahainaluna students, enjoy Kama‘āina Nights, Keiki Club, Miss Maui Pageant, Holo Holo Halloween and more.
The Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center introduces two new tenants: Lashsav, a 100% certified vegan eyelash company, will be opening a vending machine next week; and Home Hawaiʻi Design that sells wood home furniture and décor is already open.
