Exporting abusive priests: Catholic religious order Society of the Divine Word based near Northbrook reveals abusers


Even before he was ordained a priest, the Rev. Ronald Lange was sent to Ghana by his Catholic religious order in 1968.
In a profile by a community newspaper years later, Lange spoke of his commitment to learning about Ghana while teaching at schools there and leading a parish with more than a dozen worship sites.
“The people are just so happy to see you,” Lange, a member of the Society of the Divine Word’s Chicago province, based near Northbrook, was quoted as saying. “You don’t even have to be a good priest.”
And he wasn’t, as his order now acknowledges. ....

Joseph Bonaparte fled to the US from Europe after his brother Napoleon s Battle of Waterloo defeat in 1815 
The exiled former king of Spain settled in Bordentown, New Jersey, and built an estate called Point Breeze 
At the heart of the property was a mansion fit for royalty, spanning nearly 38,000-sq-ft across three stories
It featured an 8,000-book library and an art collection complete with the Spanish crown jewels  ....
