QatarEnergy will pay China State Shipbuilding Corporation billions of US dollars for 18 tankers in a deal hailed as the industry’s biggest shipbuilding contract ever.
QatarEnergy and China State Shipbuilding Corporation signed an agreement on Monday to construct 18 ultra-modern QC-Max size liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessels.
Delivery of the 18 QC-Max size LNG vessels is scheduled between 2028 and 2031, with eight vessels to be delivered in 2028 and 2029. [Image: QatarEnergy]
