Taunton parks: Upgrades at Hopewell Pool, Liberty and Union, Memorial

TAUNTON  Taunton s parks and other public spaces are in the process of getting a much-needed facelift, and city officials say there is more to come.  The Taunton Parks, Cemeteries and Public Grounds Department, in collaboration with the Office of Economic and Community Development (OECD), is in the process of renovating many of Taunton s parks with new amenities and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant accommodations.  At a City Council meeting April 13, Parks Commissioner AJ Marshall and OECD Director Bill Roth laid out a summary of what projects they have completed, what projects they are currently working on, and projects they hope to take on in the future.
