The Heritage Foundation has become increasingly concerned about the harmful evolution of international human rights. This evolution diminishes their credibility as truly universal norms, prospects for enforcement, and justice for victims of the worst violations. It also threatens Americans’ understanding of fundamental, natural rights that form the foundation of our jurisprudence and system of government.
