Practitioners, policy makers and experts gather to share lessons and innovations around the future of conflict prevention and peacebuilding
New York, 5 March 2021 – With less than a decade left to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, ambitious and urgent action is needed to accelerate progress on conflict prevention and peacebuilding. With the COVID-19 pandemic spurring the first decline in human development in 30 years, the international community must commit to bolder and more agile efforts to prevent further crises from unfolding.
This was the conclusion of the Prevention in Action – Global Forum 2021, a two-day virtual forum hosted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on 3 and 4 March, 2021. The Global Forum examined the critical link between development, conflict, prevention and peacebuilding, and delineated challenges and failures, lessons learned and good practice

So long 2020
The Osterville Village Library bids farewell to 2020 and welcomes the New Year with its “Winter Wishing Walk” located on the library green. No timetable; just stop by the outdoor decorative maze in search of the angel bell located at the center. Find the bell, and ring it loud and clear as you make your wish for 2021.
Take a walk in the night air to see the holiday lights in the village and make a wish for health and happiness! Pay your respects to former Town Council President Jim Crocker at Armstrong Kelley Park, which held a tree lighting ceremony in his memory on Dec. 11.
