So i will ill be relatively brief. I just wanted to say a few words about the origin of the book and the audiobook. I was someone who i grew up in i was born in england. My fathers english and i grew up reading those. I feel its a particularly british thing these kinds of Popular Military histories aimed at teenager preadolescent boys. Those were the books of my youth i consume them by the truckload and i always wanted to write a kind of Popular History in that pain particularly of the Second World War because that was the war i grew up hearing about from my father who i grew up in kent and would hear the bombers the german bombers overhead as a child and whos his mother my grandmother told my father to sleep under his bed.
