A local developer is preparing to kick off a pair of Southside projects: one that includes adding a new retail strip and a residential element around a Forest Hill shopping center and the other for a dialysis center just over the Lee Bridge.
Harper Associates is planning an expansion of the Shops at Stratford Hills, a retail center the company developed in the early 2000s.
Plans call for a new retail building to be occupied in part by Chipotle, and, if approved by the city, 36 townhomes on a roughly 3-acre plot next door at 6935 Forest Hill Ave.

The reimagining of Innsbrook as a mixed-use mecca is now squarely focused on transforming the office park’s northern end.
Highwoods Properties, a developer and major landlord in Innsbrook, is planning a massive mixed-use development on about 34 acres at the park’s northern entrance at Nuckols Road and Interstate 295.
The largely undeveloped site includes the Innsbrook After Hours concert venue and the recently acquired Elks Lodge property, which Highwoods purchased last year, completing the assemblage.
Highwoods envisions filling the site with a mix of retail, office and multifamily residential development, as well as a potential hotel.

A residential development that would add hundreds of homes in Chesterfield’s fast-growing Winterpock area is finally getting its day in front of the county Planning Commission, three years after it was initially proposed.
Homebuilder Schell Brothers, which in 2018 filed plans with the county for more than 500 homes on 218 acres off Winterpock Road, has since expanded the proposal to nearly 670 homes on 250 acres between the Harpers Mill and Collington communities.
