Dr. Robert Neil Grant, 85, passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2022. He was born January 31, 1937 in Old Fort, North Carolina. Bob attended Duke University from 1955-1958. He then entered Duke Medical School from 1958-1962, followed by the University of Oregon in 1963. Bob joined the U.S. Army shortly thereafter and was stationed at Fort Ord in Monterrey, California. While serving, Bob completed his surgical residency at Presidio Hospital in San Francisco. In June 1968, Bob was deployed to Vietnam and stationed at the 24th Evac Hospital and later became Chief of Surgery at the 93rd Evac.
