Dakota Partners eyes groundbreaking on Newington apartments, two multifamily developments in Hartford


Dakota Partners has been one of the most active apartment developers in Greater Hartford over the past five years, and despite some challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Waltham, Mass.-based firm remains as focused as ever on the region.
That’s according to Dakota Partners co-founder and President Roberto Arista, who in a recent interview detailed his firm’s pandemic experiences of the past year and its future plans for Greater Hartford.
“We are definitely looking to do more projects in and around the Hartford area,” Arista said.

The Day - Montville housing development finally flood management certified - News from southeastern Connecticut


Montville  Dakota Partners has at last secured approval of its flood management certification application for a planned 72-unit housing development on Pink Row at the former Faria Beede Mill property.
On Tuesday, Dakota Marketing Director Katie Cardillo offered an official statement on the news from the company, noting that construction should resume in the spring of this year.
The Flood Management Certification will be issued after the expiration of the 30-day public notice, which should be around the end of February, the statement reads. The 30-day public notice was required as this project needed exemptions from certain state rules, which regulate building in a 500-year floodplain. The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection conditionally approved the permit, based on our satisfaction of design changes requested. Once the Flood Management Certification is issued, the project can be re-started. ....
